Event Management: Lancaster Arts Nonprofit Meet-up

A required course for the Master in Arts Leadership and Cultural Management degree at Colorado State University is LEAP 650 Arts Event Management. In this course we were asked to consider various aspects of managing events (both in person and online) and to use these learnings to host and assess our own events as a final project.

Below you will find artifacts from my event which was a meet-up of Lancaster County arts non-profit leaders. The goal of this event was to bring together Lancaster City arts nonprofits to create a stronger network of collaboration and resources for each other and our community. The event objective was to host a single creative networking event for a minimum of five arts nonprofit organizations in mid to late April to share needs, discuss resources, and identify areas for future collaboration.

As this was an invite only event, I did not have a need to develop an extensive marketing plan. To fulfill this requirement, I imagined my networking event had grown to become as a regional conference for Lancaster County arts nonprofits to connect and learn from each other.
